The ‘Jouette’ stands on the square of a pretty village where the river Seine runs through, within the Golden Croissant of Champagne, near the A5 motorway, 35kms from Troyes.
Anne-Marie and Claude will welcome you to the old and charming family residence they have renovated, preserving the character of a traditional Champenois house, and for which they recently received the ‘Fondation du Patrimoine’ label (French cultural heritage fund). They will host you as real friends.
In Champenois patois, ‘jouette’ means the resting place built by rabbits in order to protect their young ones. And the house’s name comes from the old wind vane shaped as a rabbit which still stands on the roof.
